About this wine
Long before Zinfandel became California's signature red, it was thriving in Italy as Primitivo – one of Puglia's most treasured native varieties. Its name comes from the Latin 'primativus' ('first to ripen'). Generous blackberry, plum and sweet spice are framed by supple tannins and a smooth, lingering finish. The label's hero is the Red Admiral butterfly, a migratory traveller between worlds.
