About this vodka

Minty Jamun is one of three flavours Smirnoff created specifically for India, launched by Diageo India in July 2025 alongside Mirchi Mango and Zesty Lime. The idea is nostalgia: the purple-stained fingers of jamun season and the kala khatta gola from the corner cart, reworked as a Smirnoff flavoured vodka. It was made for Indian drinkers and is sold only in India.

In the glass it is tart and fruity, with the deep, slightly astringent berry character of jamun lifted by cool mint. It is made for mixing rather than sipping neat: think long, fizzy spritzes and tangy, spice-rimmed coolers. When Smirnoff showcased the range at Olterra on Park Street in 2026, the bar team paired it with puchkas and golas and built a Spicy Jamun Smash with lime, jalapeño and coriander. It is a fun, very Indian addition to a house-party bar.

Nose:

Serve

Minty Jamun spritz: 45 ml over ice in a tall glass, topped with soda and a squeeze of lime, garnished with mint; or a Spicy Jamun Smash with lime, a slice of jalapeño and coriander, shaken and strained over ice.

Food pairing

Made for street-food spreads: puchka, jhalmuri and chilli-dusted fruit chaat, or nachos with a fresh salsa.
