About this whisky
100 Pipers was introduced by Seagram in 1965, taking its name from the old Scottish song about the hundred pipers who marched with Bonnie Prince Charlie. The brand has been part of Pernod Ricard since 2001 and is among the most familiar Scotch names in India. The 12 Year Old is the step up in the range: every whisky in the blend has spent at least 12 years in oak, with Speyside malts at its heart, before the Scotch is bottled in India.
Those extra years show in the glass. It is heavier, sweeter and more rounded than the Deluxe, with honey and caramel over toasted oak and vanilla, and a gently floral finish. Enjoy it neat, with a splash of water or over ice. Its smart presentation makes it a sensible gift for Diwali, Puja visits or a business contact, and a good bottle for a sit-down family dinner.
