About this whisky
Dewar's White Label was first blended in 1899, a year after the Dewar family opened their Aberfeldy distillery in Highland Perthshire, and it has been the brand's signature ever since. Like the rest of the Dewar's range it is double aged: once the malt and grain whiskies are blended, they are returned to oak casks to rest for around six months, so the flavours knit together into a notably smooth, easy style.
On the nose you will find fresh citrus and juicy pear; the palate brings smooth honeyed sweetness with a subtle vanilla note, and the finish is gentle and refreshing. It is the classic Scotch for a highball, which is exactly how it is enjoyed in Japan, and it suits Kolkata's warm evenings served tall with soda and plenty of ice. A dependable bottle for house parties, casual hosting and anyone who prefers a lighter whisky.
