About this tequila
Cristal Azul is a young brand with a transatlantic story: founded by two New York entrepreneurs, made in Mexico from 100% blue Weber agave grown in Jalisco, the heartland of tequila. It arrived in India in 2025 with a launch at ProWine Mumbai, followed by Goa and Delhi, and it brings a full ladder of expressions from unaged Blanco to Extra Añejo. The Añejo is the brand's sipping tequila, rested for up to eighteen months in American oak.
That time in oak rounds off the agave and adds layers of caramel and warm spice while keeping roasted agave at the centre. It is rich and full-bodied, the sort of tequila to pour neat after dinner rather than mix. For drinkers moving from whisky or rum to agave, it is a friendly place to start, and the bottle makes a striking gift for a host who likes to try something new.
