About this beer
When AB InBev looked at how India drinks beer, it saw a market that leans strongly towards fuller, stronger lagers. Its answer, in 2012, was Budweiser Magnum: a beer built for Indian tastes but carrying the Budweiser name and the 'Premium International Beer' tag on its label. It is brewed in India, and the 330 ml bottle is the most compact way to enjoy it.
Pour it into a chilled glass and you get a deep golden beer with a dense head. The palate is broader and maltier than standard Budweiser, with notes of caramel and toasted cereal, a light hop bitterness and a smooth, gently warming finish. The smaller bottle is a good fit for those who want the richer flavour of a strong beer in a sensible serving, and it sits neatly on a dinner table next to a plate of something spicy. A dependable option for hosts stocking a range for guests with different preferences.
