About this beer

Kingfisher Ultra was created by United Breweries in 2009 as a step up from the classic Kingfisher, aimed at drinkers looking for a more polished, premium beer. Kolkata was one of the four cities where it first went on sale, alongside Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi, before it rolled out nationally. Today it sits at the premium end of the Kingfisher family, a step above the classic red-label Kingfisher Premium.

In the glass, Ultra is a bright golden lager with a fine bead. As a premium malt beer it has a rounder, smoother malt character than standard Kingfisher, with a touch of honeyed sweetness, light floral hops and a crisp, clean finish. It is an easy choice for dinner parties and celebrations where you want a beer that feels a little more special without being heavy. Serve it well chilled with a good spread of food.
